Hey friends, it is Jamie. The full moon happens on May 31, exact around 3:45 in the morning here in New Orleans, with the moon at 9 degrees of Sagittarius and the sun at 9 degrees of Gemini.

Nine degrees is the very last degree of what I call page energy, the first ten degrees of a sign. Optimistic, young, unjaded. Naive is not quite the right word and I have never found a better one. It is about to move into knighthood.

The sun and the moon talk twice a cycle. At the dark moon they are together, and that is masculine and feminine in the same room. At the full moon they are opposite, so we get to see the big picture from both ends. The sun is in Gemini, ruled by Mercury, which is communication. The moon is in Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, which is expansion. So the question in front of us is what we are communicating about what we want to expand.

Sagittarius is the adventurer and the philosopher. At its highest, it is live and let live. It roams around, sees how other people do it, brings back what is useful, and shrugs off the rest. At its lowest it is sarcastic and judgmental, and it says yes to everything until it is drowning.

Uranus is in Gemini now, and that is why things are moving fast. Uranus gets its information from the cosmos and its whole job is putting things back into balance, which is why it works quickly. It is the Tower in the tarot. The lightning bolt comes out of nowhere, cuts through the nonsense, and things rebalance immediately whether you were ready or not.

This full moon is showing you where you have been staying small. Where you have kept the same storyline. Where you have not let yourself learn anything new.

We spend a lot of energy on what does not work, and that is not wrong, we have to name it in order to move toward what does. But Gemini brings evidence and logic and critical thinking, and it does not accept blanket statements. It will not let every fill in the blank stand as an argument. So notice your own language this week. Notice the all or nothing in it.

There is a lot of geometry on this one. Three grand trines and a grand square. That is a great deal of energy, and it is going to move quickly, and that is how it is supposed to be.

The one aspect I want to flag is the moon in a quincunx with Mars in Taurus and with Venus in Cancer. When planets are quincunx there is no resolution at that time. It does not mean there never will be. It means right now, this is simply where things are. So if you are in the middle of a big decision about home, or moving, or settling somewhere, and you cannot get an answer, that is the aspect. Your mind will be moving fast because the sun is in Gemini. Mars in Taurus is lying in the grass in no particular hurry. Be okay with that.

I pulled a card before I looked at anything, to help us work with this moon, and it came out the Nine of Swords.

Which is funny, and also very much the point. The Nine of Swords is being stuck in the past. I should have done this, I wish I had not done that. None of it helps you decide where to go. Swords are mental. This card is about how you talk to yourself and whether it is producing anxiety or producing movement. You learn the lesson and then you move, and you get involved in a different way, and you meet new people. Those are Sagittarius themes anyway.

So the practical version. Look at your schedule. See where you want to show up and where you need to scale back. See where you could be of service and where you are already too involved. Overwhelm is real. I talked to a client that morning who could not make a decision, and it was not a life or death decision, it was who do I call first. Sometimes you just need a friend to say, do this one, and then you are moving again.

This one is dynamic. It is here to push us forward.
