Hey friends. I want to talk about Venus in Leo, about Sedna and Uranus, about the feminine energies, and about manifesting, and I want to do it without turning it into some weird esoteric conversation that makes everybody's eyes roll. I have been in this space almost my whole life. It does not have to be like that.
Venus went into Leo on June 13 and she is there until July 9, currently at 7 degrees. Nobody is talking about it, because everybody is watching Jupiter, and that is a shame. Venus is leading the charge right now. She is out in front of all of them. She is the evening star, the third brightest thing we have after the sun and the moon.
She rules Taurus and Libra, so she carries self-worth, creativity, stability, and money. Taurus is fixed earth, the most stable of the stable. Libra is the scales. Consider that the next time someone tells you feminine energy is unstable.
And here is the thing about her being in Leo. Feminine energy, whoever you are and however you present, is about receiving and nurturing. Leo at its highest is confidence and inspiration and knowing exactly who you are. So this is a beautiful conversation between the divine masculine, which is the sun and Leo, and the divine feminine, which is Venus.
The problem with manifestation is not that people ask for too much. It is that nobody knows how to receive.
People say I am hoping to receive a miracle, a million dollars, love. Everyone is waiting for Jupiter to get to Leo so everything gets bigger. But that is two masculine energies in the same sign, and there is no balance in it. Venus is already in there asking the better question. Do I remember how to receive? Do I remember how to nurture myself? Do I understand that when I put up a boundary and say no, that is what makes the space for the thing I actually asked for?
That masculine energy is always movement. Take care of this, take care of that, never turn the attention on the self. So the feminine burns out, because it has been running in masculine mode with no time to receive. It happens to women taking care of families and businesses and parents and the PTA. It happens to men too, and that is a piece of what people are calling the male loneliness epidemic. They do not know how to receive either.
Sedna is in Gemini right now, conjunct Uranus. Sedna was an Inuit goddess who did not want to get in the canoe with her father and finally relented. Things got rough out there, he got scared for himself, and he threw her overboard, and when she clung to the side he cut off her fingers so she would sink. Her story is about boundaries, and about how a psyche heals after deep trauma. Her fingers became the fish and her hair became the seaweed. Everything that nourishes.
That is most of our mythology, if you look at it honestly. Inanna goes to the underworld to face her own trials and her husband takes the throne while she is down there. Persephone is taken and Demeter's grief gives us the seasons. Medusa is assaulted and then punished for it. It is always the feminine being divided, taken, or rewritten. I would love for us to get to creation stories that do not require trauma. We are probably not there yet. But naming the pattern is how you stop repeating it, and Uranus being in there with Sedna is why we get to talk about it now. Uranus is the revolution. Uranus is the aha.
Now Chiron. Chiron just moved out of Aries and into Taurus, and I think the timing with Venus in Leo is not an accident. Chiron is the wounded healer who does eventually get healed. He does not limp around forever. And Chiron knew every plant and every herb there was.
So he is walking into the sign of the earth right when Taurus's ruler, Venus, is in fixed fire knowing exactly who she is. She can welcome him in and say, show me what I need to work on, and show me what I have been carrying that was never my wound in the first place. He went through Aries and we did a lot of work on I am. Now he is in Taurus and we get to talk about self-worth with more courage behind it.
I also think he is going to do something about how we treat the earth. He is going to remember that we can heal with herbs, with nature, with the land. And listen, if I have a headache I am taking a Tylenol. This is not either or. It is remembering that we are the earth too, part of the same living organism.
The moon was conjunct the south node in Virgo this week, and the nodes are about to change signs. South node is what we leave behind, and what we are leaving is martyring ourselves. Putting yourself on the cross, figuring everything out for everybody, thinking twenty steps ahead while never having any fun.
So here is the assignment. Venus is in Leo until July 9. Every day between now and then, write down one thing you love about yourself. If you draw a blank, that is information. Work with that.
